This seminar hall is named after the epic counter-attack by 11 Baloch (then 4/10 Baluch) during the 1948 Kashmir Liberation War, by virtue of which the Pakistan Army re-took from the Indians, the Pandu massif in the Jhelum Valley, Azad Kashmir. This was a remarkable feat at tactical level, with strategic effects, which not only halted the Indian summer offensive in Jhelum Valley, but also ensured the safety of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The massif stands today as a dominating symbol of the Army’s fundamental role in defining the Line of Control, as we know it today, by fighting for every inch of it.
Pandu Hall can accommodate forty seminar participants at individual desks, the stage can seat five, along with a rostrum.
